Taking the idea of Brotherhood to heart: Chi Psi is focused on developing young men socially, intellectually, and morally.
Chi Psi was founded on May 20, 1841 at Union College in Schenectady, NY. The eighth fraternity founded in the United States and the fifth at Union itself, Chi Psi was unique, being the first fraternity to be founded upon principles of Brotherhood and as a social fraternity.
Founded February 14th, 1883, Alpha Xi of Chi Psi is one of the longest continually active Alphas. Referred to as Lodgers, the brothers of Alpha Xi are devoted to the fraternity, and hold leadership roles among Greek life at Stevens as well as on campus in Student Government, Club Sports and more.
Stevens Institute of Technology is a private research university in Hoboken, New Jersey. Founded in 1870, it is one of the oldest technological universities in the United States and was the first college in America solely dedicated to mechanical engineering.

Chi Psi recognizes that the bond of Brotherhood is eternal, and does not end after graduation. We are Brothers for life. Alumni play an important role in the Fraternity, including in nationwide Alumni Clubs and at the Chi Psi Annual Convention each summer.
